On the plus side, I bet the 7,1s will hold their resale value even better than the 5,1s and 6,1s.

How are you finding the responsiveness of the 16-core while running big PT sessions?

I use a Harpertown, but I have a Clovertown. I'm going to set up the Clovertown with my HD Native and see if the problem is still there.

It's a bit of a random hit-or-miss thing for people. A small percentage have this problem, others never get it. I'm on a Harpertown Mac, which seems slightly more prone to this based on other posts...

I've logged 15 years using Pro Tools day in day out as my main work tool.

I've owned (via my company) about 15 systems: Mix, HD, LE with the various toolkits, etc.

Never have I had any issues...
