Core Audio Avid HD I//O only will work id Pro Tools HD is not Launched.

Once Avid HD Pro Tools is launched the Core audio disappears from Audio Midi/Core audio.

Core Audio is working Pro Tools HD12.7 and Avid hardware.

But just like before either core audio (iTunes or other) or Pro Tools.
Not simultaneously like we all would like.

HD's extra Monies should cover this basic (We've never had duality) feature.

I imagine you have but have you checked after startup but before running apps.
your sound control panel and Audio Midi Setup?
(All set to use HDX as sound card in and out).
