So what happens to people who bought reinstatement codes in 2021 when they were briefly reintroduced, but didn't redeem them (because we were told they could be redeemed later)?

Gotcha. So my original point pretty much still stands then - even with the grace period, I still need to pay to get the 2020.3 update (albeit the cheaper renewal rate, not the more expensive...

It's totally reasonable for people to get annoyed like this. When we pay a yearly renewal fee, we should actually get something for our money, it's not enough to say "the fee gets you get 12 months...

Yep that's right, the old expiry date was 31 March 2016 and now it's 31 March 2017 in my avid.com account but I still haven't got an ilok asset which reflects the new expiry date.
