Hi Folks,

Recently upgraded from some version of PT 10 to 10.3.10. Ever since, I've noticed that when I clear clips from the clip list, I no longer get the dialog box that reads:

Re: 30 Second Delay when Hitting Record - Pro Tools Le 8.0.3

OK! Found a work-around.

Here's the deal - I've got four drives...two active drives, and two back-up drives. Pro Tools should NOT know about the two back-up drives. It doesn't use them. Heck, *I*...

Re: 30 Second Delay when Hitting Record - Pro Tools Le 8.0.3

Wish it was a corrupted session (although those definitely suck as well), but this is with fresh sessions. Hmm...wait, let me try creating one NOT from my standard template...

Dang. Was hoping....

Re: 30 Second Delay when Hitting Record - Pro Tools Le 8.0.3

Darryl -

Answers in order:

When I say "crashing," I mean Pro Tools just closes without giving me an error window - just says asks if I want to report, ignore or reopen. To be clear, it is no...

Re: 30 Second Delay when Hitting Record - Pro Tools Le 8.0.3

Shane - do you mean the boot drive, or the drive that Pro Tools is using to record to/save files onto?

Re: 30 Second Delay when Hitting Record - Pro Tools Le 8.0.3

Thanks, Tom. Might just do that. Might be something up with one of the two drives used. Unfortunately, been a while since I backed up either one, so will require a bunch of copying/transferring if I...

30 Second Delay when Hitting Record - Pro Tools Le 8.0.3

Hi there!

Up until yesterday, my system was behaving (relatively) normally. I hit record, and Pro Tools started recording. Then yesterday, it started crashing the first time I hit record after...

Re: Aux Input vs. Mic 1/Analog 1 Input (when using external preamp)

Rock on, Numi! That's exactly the feedback on the card I was looking for! I've found many threads here there and everywhere that feature people asking about the card, but no one had written in saying...

Re: Aux Input vs. Mic 1/Analog 1 Input (when using external preamp)

Thanks for the suggestions/questions, all! Sorry for the delay in responding.

@ deltasigma: yes, I have tried going TRS to TRS (via patch cable). Might try again, just to be sure on levels,...

Aux Input vs. Mic 1/Analog 1 Input (when using external preamp)

Hi there! Still finding my feet with respect to my very simple set-up.

Issue: Recording levels are too low when external preamp (Presonus Eureka) is connected to Mbox2 Pro via the Aux input...

Re: Inserting room tone after using strip silence command

So which version of iZotope do you recommend minimum? And could I go with it and skip Sound Soap altogether?

Re: Inserting room tone after using strip silence command

I agree partially on the breath issue...the subtle ones or the ones that make sense within the narrative should stay. But those big ones? The ones that occur after I've finished a Faulknerian-esque...

Re: Inserting room tone after using strip silence command

Y'all rock! I suspect that several (if not all) of you were correct. Here's what I did:

1. Duplicated track.
2. Selected bit of pure room tone and used "paste special" to duplicate across whole...

Re: Inserting room tone after using strip silence command

Thanks! If it's going to automatically combine them, then I've been trying to do something I don't need to do :o

Now...what if I want to avoid bouncing to disk and just want to use the saved WAV...

Re: Inserting room tone after using strip silence command

OK. So except for the channel faders (not sure what those are or how to use them), that's what I've already got...a track that the "silence" stripped, and a track of pure room tone that I created...

Re: Inserting room tone after using strip silence command

I'm going to try and reply without sounding like an idiot. I use the strip silence to remove all the pesky clicks, pops, loud breaths, etc. that occur between speaking parts - which of course removes...
