I am having the same issue, I cannot tell if it is just the particular plugin I am using (Xpand 1 not 2) or if its a setting I cannot find. Most users on here will tell you how to fix the problem...

Oh, I am not running on the most powerful PC, dual core with XP. Its not a Mac I know, but its what I have.
