RAM Disk and Mbox PTLE question

Is it definitely an absolute no no to use a RAM disk for video playback with PTLE and Mbox?
Will PTLE & MBox work AT ALL with a ram disk active?

I just got an MBox and it seems to work fine with Cubase VST. Is the problem with Logic something on the Logic side of things?

Also, the Programma ASIO/USB drivers are about $50US and not $29...

I'm using a G4/450 with PTMix and a VST 37gig Firewire drive with excellent results so far but have not given the drive enough of a torture test to actally say it works as well as a ATA66 or SCSI UW....
