Re: Offline bounce is going so slowly

VI's also need to stream samples fast enough so the bottleneck may be in your storage speed, not necessarily CPU related.

It just seems Avid has too many customers with problems, comparing to bugs fixed. The priority of bug fixes naturally going top paying customers first, I guess nobody argues that.

Re: ProTools Tech Support not responding to tickets

Re: Protools needs an open beta

CPU problems were addressed in 2019.5 and they have not come back ever since. Catalina is very much supported, except the few features that have not yet made their way back. If you need the features,...

Re: Protools needs an open beta

There has always been good and bad releases, but still some versions are better than others.

I can fondly remember combinations of OSX 10.3.4 & PT 6.4.1 and OSX 10.6.8 & 8.1.1 but the good...

Re: Protools needs an open beta

If you want to take this joke to its fullest, why not say the last stable version was 8.1.1 that was DigiDesign branded

Re: Direct Box for Bass into PT - Recommendation?

Two things.

First of all you need to record both signals from same interface so you have same latency compensation.

Second, you need to measure the distance from mic to speaker, then later on...

Re: Room Correction Plugins

Phase shifting is just as much theory as it is practice. Say you have curtains on your window, moving them a foot makes more phase shift than tuning EQ. Or moving your monitor speaker 5 degrees while...

... and as always, double-check that you have a supported OS/PT combination (https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Compatibility/Pro-Tools-Operating-System-Compatibility-Chart)

First of all, are you using a supported OS/PT combination (https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Compatibility/Pro-Tools-Operating-System-Compatibility-Chart)?

Re: Playback Engine not seeing HD Native Omni

... and btw. you only need HD driver for 3rd party applications such as Logic. PT will recognize HD hardware as is.

Re: Playback Engine not seeing HD Native Omni

It does not make any sense to me then. If you are using latest OS and latest PT and you have current PT license and DigiLink license on your license key, then everything should be alright...

Re: Playback Engine not seeing HD Native Omni

You would see DigiLink I/O license on your iLok License Manager if you had one. If not, you need to buy one.
