Re: Can you take markers with the dock?

For podcasts, I take a lot of markers and typically label them with short notes for going back and editing later. If you can take markers at all, that's better than nothing, but I wish there was a...

Can you take markers with the dock?

Simple question, sorry if this is answered somewhere else. Just wanna take marker notes with the dock/ipad and can't figure it out.

Re: Stock Templates not available

I fixed this problem, I think it's some sort of conflict with new OSX or maybe with new PT folder locations. It has to do with documents folder permissions.

Basically I changed the permissions on...

Pro Tools not remembering bounce preferences

I've never had this problem before PT12 on my new iMac, but my bounce preferences always get reset every time I try to bounce. They always revert back to "multi-mono" and they never remember the...

Re: Could not create a new document because Permission denied (13) while creating

All it takes is going to Documents and doing "Get Info" on the PT folder and setting permissions to Read & Write for yourself. I can't believe how much drastic bad advice people give that's nowhere...

Re: Is there an easy way to pop inserted plugins out into Audiosuite?

No because I'm using PT10 because PT11 doesn't support my plugins, so there is no offline bounce. Like I said, I'm running hours-long sessions. Printing the audio to a track would literally take...

Re: Is there an easy way to pop inserted plugins out into Audiosuite?

Thank you Meads, that is a little bit better.

I also love that Track Freeze option, I didn't know about that. I knew about offline bounce, but Track Freeze would be a perfect solution if it was...

Re: Is there an easy way to pop inserted plugins out into Audiosuite?

I'm not trying to be rude, but I said this

Which I hoped was pretty clear. Is there something I could help you understand more about what I'm wondering?

Like if I had a track, and I put in...

Re: Is there an easy way to pop inserted plugins out into Audiosuite?

I knew that response was coming, which is why I specifically tried to preempt it. It will definitely, significantly help my workflow and my process with my other engineers, you'll have to trust me.

Is there an easy way to pop inserted plugins out into Audiosuite?

This would be so incredibly helpful to my workflow. If there was some way to have my plugins laid out like inserts, but any time I wanted to use one of them with its current settings as an...

Re: Yosemite came out today.

It's amazing to me how many people here apparently use PT 11 and not PT 10. It seems PT11 is fine on Yosemite. I haven't heard enough about PT 10 to be sure though. It's really truly maddening that...

Re: OSX Yosemite is coming this Fall!

Every software company does testing and is able to launch updates well within reasonable time of new OS's.

Re: OSX Yosemite is coming this Fall!

There are a hundred good reasons to keep your devices up to date. Avid is literally the only software company I've ever dealt with who makes me have to wait (sometimes forever apparently) to update...

Re: Yosemite - new OSX version

Avid, I'd really appreciate if you could start adapting PT10 and PT11 to Yosemite now and not make us wait too long. thks

Re: I unplugged my thunderbolt display and no more Pro Tools errors!

I don't remember if I unplugged it while PT was running in the background or not. I don't get why that would matter. I don't have anything chained through the monitor. It's literally a TB -> HDMI...

Re: I unplugged my thunderbolt display and no more Pro Tools errors!

I have no idea how to do any of that. I really need my USB ports though. I have my keyboard and MIDI devices plugged in.

I unplugged my thunderbolt display and no more Pro Tools errors!

I have been having a hell of a time with -6101, -9173 (I think?) and similar errors. To the point where I could have a session with ZERO plugins and it would still lock up. My whole computer would...

Re: Pro Tools 10 to Pro Tools 9 Conversion?

I work for some major podcasts, and yes I ABSOLUTELY would love this. I registered on this forum just to chime in, because I searched for this very thing. At some point every week I long for the...
