Sansamp gives you nice dizzztortion, but I also recommend Amplitube 2. Sure this is much more than just one plugin, but the possibilities and quality is great. I also like Frohmage by Ohmforce.

do you have any plugs that cause latency on the master or drum-bus?
I figured out that a waves L3 adds 3528ms of dly. I made it inactive during
record and everything comes out tight.
