I have had my MacBook Pro 2018 and am very happy with performance. The fans are not loud as mentioned and to be honest I don't know that I have been able to get them to kick on but my Pro Tools 2018...

Good news. I guess that they didn't have their fan controls set correctly.
Here is a podcast on the topic and it doesn't seem to be a problem with Pro Tools....
