Out of curiosity, are you running your 48 gig of ram across 6 of the 8 available ram slots in your machine?

I just tried the test session. Opened it, set the buffer to 64, record enabled the record tracks group, recalled memory location 2. My system comfortably recorded the full 118 minutes with the CPU...
