Re: Sick of error type 1and2.......please help!!!

Very informative posts here. True it really boils down to a system (9.x) that has been streched to the limits...
Nonetheless, I sometimes resent having so many problems rooted in the copy protection...

Re: SCSI drive upkeep

One thing to take in account is the kind of use you make of Pro tools

I often record stuff live in the studio with 16 or more mono tracks simultaneously in 24bit 48k. That means recording,...

I would simply add to all the good things said by Shawn Simpson and the others that the main danger with disks are :

- Overfill : I try never go past ~70 % disk capacity. When you go over that,...

Re: The Drum Mic Decision

The m88 is not a ribbon mic.
Sure it looks quite like the M 260.80
m260 (http://www.beyerdynamic.com/com/product/sheets/d20.php3)
But the M88 is a "normal" dynamic mic, and it can take the kind...

Re: The Drum Mic Decision

You should try this mic (link below) both for very close miking BD (outside the BD I prefer the U47 Fet ) and for low tom.
It seems expensive and it doesn't look impressive but it has a both...

Re: Best auto tune correction plugin

One big plus about Antares Auto tune 3 is the Audiosuite plugin. That way you can home in on the offending notes and leave the rest unprocessed.
In turn this has enabled me to avoid learning how to...

Of course I...

Re: AKG D12E Kick Drum Microphone

Frankly I don't regret good ol' D12 that much, unless I *really* want to have that 60/70 r&b bass drum sound .
I now use a Beyer M88 (well worth the expensive price for a dynamic microphone) and I...
