I have my DVD player's output (left and Right) going into a pair of my inputs of my digi 001. Just record enable your track and you will start to get levels from the DVD you are auditioning.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the Digimax and the Octopre also have converters of their own. Pre amp and Converter all in one. The best of both worlds.

With Jam you can edit how smooth you want the transitions to be between songs. Meaning you can adjust the fades to be abrupt or really smooth. Works for me just fine then import to Toast and burn....
