Re: A Happy Thank You for the 2022.6 MIDI fixes

Always grateful when they give some love to the midi features. I did have to go back to the earlier version though since I didn't have time to troubleshoot. In the middle of a project, I was hoping...

Re: A Happy Thank You for the 2022.6 MIDI fixes

I mean "had" like I just did it, in the newly installed version. Guess I should have said "had just quantized".

Re: A Happy Thank You for the 2022.6 MIDI fixes

Re: Pro tools 2022.6 released--selection of midi notes disabled after quantize

in the MIDI editor window--selected and quantized a couple bars of a pattern. After that, the events that were quantized could not be selected/moved. I can hear velocities being adjusted using the...

In the future--auto-freeze everything

Blink out of it to adjust individual tracks, otherwise make it a background process, transparent. The computers must be fast enough by now--you'd think it would make the whole process less...

Re: Really annoying things with the new "Relative Grid Editing"

I like relative grid a lot--but this HAS to be a bug. Just discovering this thread after having this issue in both 2019.12 and 2020.03.

Of what possible use is this?

Re: Step by step installing HD Native Driver on Mojave? (SOLVED)

Problem finally solved--I've got the HD Native card working with the OWC Chassis in TB2.

The biggest issue was that startup would hang on the restart after "allowing" the extension to load. I had...

Re: Step by step installing HD Native Driver on Mojave?

Thanks for this--the interesting thing is I never got that "extension blocked" warning, but that still sounds like the most probable reason my card is not showing up (mounted in a PCI expansion...

Re: Step by step installing HD Native Driver on Mojave?

Hi thanks that looks like a useful link, even though it’s not from Avid. My main question, though, still relates to the HD driver issue. Again, to reiterate the title of the original post, I need...

Re: Step by step installing HD Native Driver on Mojave?

Of course I will do that--I'm just bemoaning the general lack of official acknowledgement of the hoops you have to jump through in installation. I've found the Security prefs window to be a little...

Re: MBP advice

I went for the 2018 MBP which has quite nice specs and put in 32 gig of RAM. There's a lot of criticism of the keyboards on those, which honestly if you're going to be integrating it into a larger...

Re: Who still uses OWC Mercury Helios Thunderbolt2 for HD Native Card?

also wondering if I've been using this card "unflashed" the whole time. It worked in my mid-2010 cheese grater. I'll try to put it back in that machine and run Digitest on it.

Re: Older Revibe and Reverb One auths not recognized when subscription auths run out

aha thanks everybody I realized that they were on an old-style iLok. I've been on the support plan for so long that I haven't needed them.

Older Revibe and Reverb One auths not recognized when subscription auths run out

I decided to let my Ultimate Support license lapse, and those two plugs, which I use a lot, come up as being unlicensed, along with a message that the subscription ran out. BUT I've had permanent...

Re: Who still uses OWC Mercury Helios Thunderbolt2 for HD Native Card?

Aha I'll try that. I've also had issues where my external drives are somehow being set to read-only upon startup. So that sounds promising as well(?) for that maybe. thanks

Re: Who still uses OWC Mercury Helios Thunderbolt2 for HD Native Card?

The OWC works without a driver--I can see it in the system information. But the HD card itself does not appear. The driver for the card is appropriate to the version of PT I want to run (2019.12)

Who still uses OWC Mercury Helios Thunderbolt2 for HD Native Card?

Hi reposting to "Hardware"--

I'm curious who still has this working with a laptop system. I've been successfully running a 2010 cheese grater with the card mounted inside connected to a blue 192....

Re: How to determine final version you can run if you let support plan lapse

So my release limit says "Versions released on or before 3/31/20"

Which should include 2020.03, correct? Because that was released on March 31st. Ha right...

Re: How to determine final version you can run if you let support plan lapse

Within the license manager? Looking into the "details", there is no information like that. It has the date that the license was deposited, and it just says it's active on my iLok. Maybe it's a...
