mac power PC dual 2.0
external lacie drive
1 gig ram.

i find it hard to believe 1 gig of ram isn't enough since i ran PT 6.4 with no trouble at all. now i have...

how do i load cantor as an intrument into my sessions?

need help with mbox2 S/PDIF and I/O set up!

i'm running an apogee A/D converter into my mbox2 via an S/PDIF cable, but my mbox is not receiving the signal and i don't know how to set up my I/O correctly.

under the disk allocation menu, it gives you the choice of checking "round robin allocation for new tracks"
what does this do?

my PTLE 6.4 has been mysteriously deleting tracks from my sessions and i couldn't figure out why.
up until a month ago i had been saving my sessions onto my harddrive.

i've found sites they say they sell it for $75, but when you click to download nothing...

i just recently purchased a lacie d2 300 gb external drive... but i'm uneasy about keeping everything on there with no back up cause i've heard horror stories of bad drives crashing and losing...

i forgot to mention, i'm using an mbox.
180 gb HD, 1gb of ram.

i should also add, i bought the mbox used almost two years ago and it worked fine. it's started deleting my tracks about 6...

i use pro tools 6.4 LE on my G5 dual 2.0 mac. OSX 10.3.9

every other day or so, tracks are getting deleted from my pro tools files.
i'll open the file up after having just had it open and it will...
