Thing is, I don't use my onboard sound card. In fact, I turned it off in my mobo's BIOS. Can't I just turn the RME WDM I/O off and call it a day?

oh. yes...my RME Babyface Pro is also my default W10 audio I/O as it has one set WDM device in its USB settings panel. Should I just turn that off then?

Found the answer.

Apparently, Mac OS Mojave was blocking access to my RME's analog inputs, so I had to go to system preferences, and grant PT some OS privileges.

Pro Tools is not receiving any input signal from Babyface's Pro I/O. PT's I/O page is perfectly routed with everything in its place. The hardware page has Babyface Pro as PT's active audio...
