Well, I was using the term "telephone effect" only as a general descriptive so folks would know what I meant.
I'd also reiterate that the effect must fully be within Pro Tools for on the fly...

Try as I might I haven't found something that sounds just right to my ears. I've tried experimenting with the T-RackS EQ (too thin), the 7-Band EQ (too much sizzle) and I also have FabFilter's...

Can I import .OMF sessions from a Mac into a PC?

I'm considering buying the DV Toolkit because I work with a video producer who wants to have me clean up and/or modify the audio from his Final Cut Pro sessions.
He can export the files as .OMF...

Read your owner's documentation on how to enter your PC's BIOS and disable on-board sound. Hit "save changes" and exit. As far as disabling your on-board sound that should do it, I'd think.

I actually broke some of my larger folders into smaller ones, thinking that it would save time while browsing during sessions.

So, if I understand the process, indexing is something I need to keep track of in a proactive way, rather than simply ticking a checkbox that that states "manual indexing only" or some such.

The workspace window is a powerful tool, however I'd like to modify one aspect of its behavior.

I just found out that the Mac is running Leopard, which I understand isn't currently compatible with my Mac version of PT 7.
