Consolidating Clips, rendering clips... It will crash your Pro Tools 11.3 in OS 10.9.3. Why? Fix it? Or is it time to move on to a DAW that works?

Happens randomly to me. Even in the same session. Some tracks will consolidate and others won't. Elastic Audio is not a factor. The are all on the same drive so that's not the issue. OX 10.9.5 PT...

I'm using 10 and 11 on a pc.
Some sessions open in 10 with no problem.
Others can't open and get stuck while trying to restore audio playlists and never open.

Any ideas on how to get around...

CPU usage increase with 11.1.2?

Has anyone noticed their CPU usage peaking in 11.1.2?

I'm running Mac 10.91 and recently upgraded to 11.1.2. Previously it seemed my CPU usage was minimum.

Now it's peaking to 90% regularly...
