So I didn't have to do all that. When it deleted my previous install, I installed 9.0 from the disc and then directly installed 9.5 upgrade. Installed without a hitch, well I did have to repair...

Not all drives, ssd or otherwise are created equal. Some drives, like the OWC drives have been tested and proven to be less likely to fail over others.

is itune active when you start PT? I know itunes has never played nice if it is open, or opened while in PT. I stay away until I am completely done with PT.

They won't be rewriting code anytime soon...They have stated it doesn't benefit audio. This will be a patch release, so it should be pretty fast.

also. If you are getting a hub, it would be in your best interest to make sure it is a powered hub. Less likely have throughput issues.

I don't know how long it will take in regards to a firmware update or if it will be needed, each hardware device is different, but once it's done, the 002 will still be backwards compatible with PT 7.

I think it's that 1gb of ram. Most VI use the ram as a cache and it would only take a VI like a grand piano to fill it up quick..

That is not entirely true. When you select "save as a copy" there is a toggle option to include the associated files. I prefer copying the folder too but just wanted to make the small clarification.

I tried to import it into audacity but after the conversion there was nothing but static. But maybe I used the wrong import settings.

if you have quicktime pro, you can open the caf file in there and export it as a aif file. You could applescript the process and batch it that way. That's the best I could come up with.
