Re: Reason 11 is Coming

It’s looking good. I particularly like the plugin version. If they had of done it years ago I would have considered getting Reason instead of Reaktor.

Although, I don’t use Reaktor enough as it...

Re: Sonnox plugins?

Yeah you do. Although I suspect it’s taken me longer than most. Haha!!

In all seriousness it’s not a control issue for me, it’s just trying to match that sound I’m hearing in my head. I’ve had to...

Re: a plugin to check your mix in mono

In the 80s I was a teenager sneaking into my sister’s room and borrowing her cassette deck and I was connecting that plus my little keyboard to the stereo on the lounge room. Basically I came up with...

Re: Sonnox plugins?

Ah I see. Not an inherently bad idea, just not for everyone. I have One Knobs myself and I don’t really use them, but I probably should. I think I should.

The reason being is I kind of liken...

Re: Sonnox plugins?

Is that like a channel strip?? Or perhaps it’s just useful “tools” not often covered in plugins??

Re: What do you think of...?

Haha!! Mortals. If only they knew the power of the dark side!!

Seriously though, that is quite a powerful tool when used for the right reasons.

Re: Sonnox plugins?

Apart from updating their plugins, which is commendable enough, I’m curious if they’ve introduced anything new in the last year or two??

Re: a plugin to check your mix in mono

Actually I didn’t think of the S1. That’s certainly another way to go. Stick an S1 at the end of the stereo bus with the width set to 0, and activate it every time you want to do a mono check.

Re: a plugin to check your mix in mono

Yeah I thought that at first too, years back. Then I did some checking. The maths for mid-side is...

mid = L + R
side = L - R

When you hit the Mono button it sums the left and right...

Re: IK Group Buy 2019 - 6 for 1

I’m disappointed. I think I’ll have to miss this one, based on financial reasons. :(

Re: Sonnox plugins?

They make quite good plugins. A few of them could be considered “classics”.

On the plus side, they are SoundGrid compatible if you ever choose to go in that direction.

Re: a plugin to check your mix in mono

I generally keep the bx_meter on my master, it has an option to solo the Mid signal which is effectively the same as Mono. They also have a free plugin, bx_solo, I think. I used to use that before...

Re: iZotope RX8 September?

DeVehicles in general. I think this is a region in which machine learning could benefit a lot.

I could see your SplitLayers working a lot like the Music Rebalance thing.

The BIGGEST thing I...

Re: I fell for the Bass Fingers plugin and it doesn’t install ..

I’ve had this happen on the odd occasion. I found that by quitting it and reinstating the install it would pick up from where it left off.

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

Damn!! Well at least that last part you can report. It probably just slipped past their QA Testers, it can happen. So you should probably make them aware of it. Or bring it up with thelizard.

Re: Plugin Alliance insanity

Actually you've got a point in part. It could have been an update for Byome. Perhaps though, it induces more latency and overhead because of the multiband network. That's going to make preforming...

Oh sorry, I think that was a bit ambiguous. What I meant was I like the UI improvements they introduced with Byome. Sorry about that.

Although, I guess you could call this kind of a Byome...

Re: And in other ”news” Waves are having a fire sale ... $29 for ”all” plugins ..

Dare I mention the dirty three lettered word in the room...

But apparently there is 25% off on "WUP" for those who are needing to migrate to Version 10.

Please don't ban me for use of...

Re: New CLA Plugin - Looks Very Cool

I read in an interview with CLA a month or two back. is that he wanted Solo and Mute options, but it's a DAW thing. Apparently there're seems to be no way to get the plugin to communicate to the DAW...
