Avid is and has been in a tight spot. Why? Because TDM and RTAS are holding back Avid from going to 64-bit and many of their users have hardware that are not 64-bit compatible. Yet those same users...

Why does everyone want 64-bit. For one reason (no pun intended) only and that is the huge sampler and rompler libraries. If only Avid would give us an intermediate solution like I wrote earlier in...

What Avid should do though to bridge the time until we get a 64-bit version (and I put this up on the ideascale site as well) is to allow third party Rompler and Sample plugins, that support disk...
