Re: No More Mbox Support? :(

I agree, the original mbox I sold a little while ago was working for me on XP 32-bit at Pro Tools LE 8.0. Until my computer died and I got thrown into a 64-bit mess...

Try Reaper. Maybe by now,...

Re: Hold on or drop out?

Hey, thanks for all the responses thus far.

I've tried Reaper a couple different times and the more I do, the more enticing it is.
But here's the main issue I'd really like to know about Reaper:...

Hold on or drop out?

I read today in the Mac forums a post that apparently AVID fired people, threw Pro Tools to a group of consultants to work on, and just bought up Euphonics. From reading the posts and checking the...

Re: Black Lion Audio 002

I'm just going to suggest that Pro Tools LE 6.4 is maybe too old to work with Win XP SP3.
Having said that though, I cannot say for sure and would still go through the other suggested steps above.

Re: Mbox 2 on USB over Ethernet or USB repeaters

For what it's worth, I found using a USB extender didn't do so well. At least, for me with an original mbox. Once I grabbed a 12' cord to replace my 6', the audio was unable to get to the drive fast...

Re: dae error 6087 on Macbook with bootcamp running pro tools 7.4 with Digi002rack

Why ruin a Mac by running Windows in the first place, just my opinion.

Re: Is The DUC's sole purpose is for us to suggest what we want?

Haha, the DUC is actually intended for users to help one another, I believe. But there's no argument that many MANY feature requests have popped up over time. Especially lately, I'd say.

Re: An honest opinion regarding Reaper/Protools

Wouldn't it be interesting if AVID buys out Cockos' Reaper program and changes it to be their new version of Pro Tools? I mean, the Digidesign crew could dick around with the 64 Bit compatibility or...

Re: Stick with XP or clone my Windows 7 drive?

Are you talking about Windows 7 64 Bit? Check these forums over. A lot of complaints are about loud blasts of white noise apparently at random. Now, honestly, I haven't seen anyone saying there is...

Re: website is FAIL

I can't understand why AVID rushed themselves on releasing an incomplete (Or otherwise laughable) website. I get that they really want to combine all their stuff under one major name. I don't get why...

iMac, 002R?

Hey everyone,

I'm currently stuck with dilemmas. I'm on a Vista 64bit machine and a 002R. I'm on hold looking for a firewire hard drive, preferably LaCie. Then I plan on upgrading to Windows 7,...

Behringer MX802A and 002 rack?

Hey guys,

An offer for a Behringer MX802A has come up and is tempting. My only question is, would there be any problem chaining this to a 002 rack via TRS outputs, and would I be choosing the Main...

Re: Hardware Exchange

I was hoping the sunflower would be made into a desktop wallpaper. Not sure why Avid doesn't make any... I mean, you have little graphics made up, why not a wallpaper? Oh well, it's still cool.

Hardware Exchange

Hey,

In case the 004 comes out sooner than I'd think (or whatever it may be instead of "004"), I was suddenly wondering. Those hardware exchange promotions... if you have more than one piece of...

Re: Shan! Re: the 002R and audio clock

LMAO If I had cash right now, you'd be the second in line for it already. Damn debt.

Thanks a lot! Nice to know that this system is a-ok to go with just an addition and a reformat. Especially now...

Re: 002 Rack and original Mbox

At $80, I've gotten decent replies. Either people want it for portability, or as a starter to PTLE, not sure. I did announce it's downfalls, mainly the dropped support, so people have been fairly...

Re: 002 Rack and original Mbox

Actually, I'm in talks of selling the mbox. Even if my switching to XP32 doesn't work on this computer, I'd be able to drag out my old Mac G5 and work with PT LE 6.9

Re: Shan! Re: the 002R and audio clock

WIFI? I didn't even notice it, I plug in direct to ethernet... Well, having said that, I'm not using Wifi, so I guess disabling it won't hurt me at all there... Just one more thing to do, huh. Haha

Re: Shan! Re: the 002R and audio clock

Ok, I'm still new to the 32/64 bit thing, so I guess I figured there was a difference if I used 32bit on a '64bit' machine... But no? Sounds good, I just might take that plunge then!

I do intend...

Re: Shan! Re: the 002R and audio clock

Understood, thanks Tom. Could you confirm that XP32 would still be acceptable on a 64bit system, though? I'd try, but I'd really hate to reformat to XP again just to find out that I'm still screwed.
