Check in the GCP. It has to be programmed as well. That patch change on the GCP may have the "delay" IA button set to "off" and a setting called "send with program change" enabled that sends a CC...

Although there really are no rules, as a general practice, you really shouldn't run overdrives, distortions, fuzz pedals, in the FX loop of any amp, not just the 11R. They should always go in front...

Presets a1-z4 (lowercase letters) are factory presets, and you can't overwrite them, so they're always there. The lowercase a-z patches follow the uppercase patches A1-Z4.

Silly question.... You said you checked the MIDI channel on the 11R, and it's receiving on channel 1. Have you ensured the MidiMate is sending on channel 1 (or "OMNI")?

OP - Check your "Amp Output" settings. If either is set to "Rig Out No Cab", it will defeat cab and mic sims on ALL outputs, including the headphones.
