Re: Clean Power - UPS specific type?

The over-engineered power supplies on my Mark Levinson power amps do AC regenerative power. An attempt to cut down on power supply harmonics. Have no idea if it helps, but makes some good marketing.

Re: Low Latency Monitoring different in PT 2018.10 and HD Native?

As Carl already kind of said, the questions here make no sense.

The low latency monitoring utilizing the HD Native low latency hardware mixer only applies to DigiLink interfaces.

Avid has...

Re: Sonarworks Reference with HD OMNI and HD Native card

You really are barking up the wrong shrub. Your questions is nothing to do with AAX as you note, and also nothing to do with Sonarworks. It's just with the HD Native Driver on Windows 10, you can't...

Re: Sonarworks Reference with HD OMNI and HD Native card

ASIO4ALL is completely the wrong approach.

Is the AAX plugin working inside Pro Tools?
What HD Native driver do you have installed?
Does the Omni show up in Windows audio? What does show up?

Re: Lost the red playback/record cursor for recording

Re: HDX Doesn't Like To Run At Low Buffer Setting

Ha pretty funny, I completely misread that. Am already too used to "Ultimate" not HD.

BTW mSATA is not PCIe. I assume you mean M.2 not mSATA? mSATA does SATA only. M.2 can do SATA or PCIe......

Re: 11Rack & Mojave ?

And if you do run Pro Tools on this Mojave system you will need to enable microphone inputs in macOS security & privacy for the Eleven Rack inputs to work in Pro Tools. Pro Tools is running fine on...

Re: Buying Computer

Where are you planning on recording to? With a single internal HDD you should not be recording to that?

You have to pay attention to the HDD or SSD. You did not include a model
number or link so...

Re: HELP! I just got PT, but I get an error whenever I try to start it!

In future it would help if you actually read the “help us help you” link and follow the instructions to post the proper Sandra report. Like the thousands of others posted on DUC that you can look at...

Re: HDX Doesn't Like To Run At Low Buffer Setting

HD? I would recommend burning any HDD. Look at PCIe/M.2 SSD instead of SATA SSD, NVMe models won’t be bootable but AHCI ones will. Install on a PCIe to M.2 adapter card. You lose performance with...

Re: Buying Computer

probably not (based on my broad distrust of Windows laptops, and Dell computers in general :-O). It’s great that you ask, but how do we really know what you really need?

Windows 10 Pro is a good...

Re: ProTools and FocusRite 2i2

You need to enable microphone permission in macOS security and privacy preferences. This has been discussed on DUC already (so a search should have found it). I hope Avid has future supported...

Re: Samsung 970 EVO...

UEFI is a big part of it, but it’s not just that simple, with minimal UEFI requirements etc. So need to consult motherboard and drive vendor tech info.

Re: Pro Tools 2018.7 crashes when closing a session

This generic issue has been discussed before on DUC. Most likely suspects are corrupt sessions or bad plugin. What have you changed recently? If there was a serious problem with 2018 I think we'd...

Re: Unsure if entitled to the latest update

An old Pro Tools 12 license allows you to install versions prior to Pro Tools 12.6, after that you need to upgrade your license. That change/requirement was well discussed on DUC back in the day.

You can force a native plugin to be available by inserting it after any HDX/DSP plugin.

But oh why are you trying to do any of this? You have a low-latency HDX system and you are adding...

My understanding was the USB2 mode in the...
