First, Ned, yes, I did that. Turns out that the pics I posted were normal. Outs 1-2 in PT map to MBox Internal 1-2.

But.............drumroll, please............problem...

Today I remembered I have PTPrefs and shall proceed to use it. Also, that I can delete and re-install PT. At least I hope I can. Will look up first.

Anyway, I will report back after trying both....
