I'm going to look into the Miktek C7 for sure. Any other mics or preamps besides the wa12, wa73 and isa one that you would recommend? My current vocal chain is almost the same as yours.

Does look like a nice one but I'm looking for one that has all the ins and outs on the back or as many as possible so I can run them into the back of my patchbay easily

Not really looking for another interface. Just need more ins and outs for hardware inserts. Don't even really need preamps in it just line ins and outs as I already have other preamps I prefer :D

The reason I'm asking is if that is the only way pro tools will let you use hardware as inserts and outputs for channels 1 and 2 on an interface are always used for monitors or to go to a monitor...

I understand it should go Mic > Preamp > EQ > Comps > or Mic > Preamp > Comps > EQ > but what I was wondering is if I should use the send return inserts or the output of the wa73eq to go to the comps
