Re: Now that I am back on Mac, Carbon a real option

Ok thanks, so it sounds like it's being purposely limited, as AVB by its very nature is supposed to be chain able. Very weird.

I will look at a S/H HDX but I have never found one every time I have...

Now that I am back on Mac, Carbon a real option

Carbon could be my one and only chance at having a reasonably priced, completely PT integrated system where I never have to leave the PT mixer for all my duties, unlike the way UAD works, and I could...

Re: Free AAX Plug-Ins

Yep, had some issues with Softube also.

I'll never forget the first 2 years of elicenser on Mac either. Torture. devices constantly disappearing, plugins failing to find licenses, etc.

The only...

Re: Free software compressor not seen in PT

Hi, I claimed this one too but just haven't had a chance to test.

Is it any good? Seems to be a very generous limited time freebie from Softube.

Glad you got it all working! Yes, so many...

Re: So close... yet, so far.... Midi Update - DRUMS.

BTW, I am going back to Mac for audio.

After having this mac studio for a week, the tables have been turned and I have literally been left speechless. Pro tools performs so well on Mac now at 32...

Re: So close... yet, so far.... Midi Update - DRUMS.

Hi, much appreciated.

Even if it can't be done with groovecell, the fact is that midi plugins are available in PT now and I presume third parties are allowed to make them, since some of the...

Re: So close... yet, so far.... Midi Update - DRUMS.

Yes of course, that is what I have used for 5 years.

But if you forget and resize one track, you lose it for example cause the note is not on the correct lane anymore and it's not an undoable...

So close... yet, so far.... Midi Update - DRUMS.

First I will get out of the way that I love the midi plugins and ease of use.

Now to the frustrated part.

I saw the midi FX steqp sequencer in preview videos and thought we might finally have a...

Re: Major playcell issues over here

Ok so it's a windows GUI scaling issue that these plugins don't like. I worked it out by myself.

On the laptop I have a 4K panel with 250% scaling and on the desktop a 28" 4k with I think 150%...

Re: Everyone stop using ARA right now

I find it a bit crazy how only Pro Tools and Logic suffer from sustained extreme ARA bugs for multiple years now. I don't get it. It "just works" in all the other DAWs.
ARA is an extremely important...

Re: PT 2024.3 | Released

The midi plugins are all fab. This is getting really close.

If we can just get a simple button when we are in piano roll to switch to drum grid mode, and a way to rename the notes so we know...

Re: Is there any way to see my support requests?

Re: 2024.3 must be literally dropping any moment

I must admit it has only happened to me once since I installed it on Windows about 10 days back, but it did happen.

I also reloaded a project with a freeze file that was clearly there and unmuted...

Re: 2024.3 must be literally dropping any moment

The VI Midi disconnect bug is cross platform and I complained about it on Mac in 2019 and I can not believe it is happening on Windows in 2024.

Incredible.

Re: Beating Pro Tools Delay Compensation tip...

Hi, are we absolutely certain that ADC has not been increased to 32K samples at 44/48k?

I have cloned an audio track with a drum loop and soloed the two.

I put a UAD Multiband (dsp) comp on one...

Re: 2024.3 must be literally dropping any moment

I doubt we will get polyphonic expression, but as long as we get a drum track and an arp and step sequencer it's really not that far off.

I don't really do film/orchestral so the vst expression...

2024.3 must be literally dropping any moment

I just made a support request for my groovecell and playcell issues, and under pro tools studio version there was 2023.12 and then the final choice was actually 2024.3

I thought it must have been...

Solved: Major playcell issues over here

Hi, this is the first time I have ever had any kind of issue with an Avid branded plugin and I am really surprised.

Play cell seems like a good little rompler.

But I am having a LOT of issues....

Re: Why do Avid refuse to improve the midi?

good call.

Still, as I said, PT midi is not as bad as people make it to be, cause the workflow is designed well including in place editing. It just needs some features that are missing.

I am...

Re: Why do Avid refuse to improve the midi?

Ok I'll admit the plugins are looking exciting and enough for me to instantly re sub when it's out.

Once they add a drum editor, I'll be in PT Heaven and will not need any other feature, ever...

Re: Why do Avid refuse to improve the midi?

If they do ever add a drum grid, that feature is more or less part of the parcel. I think all DAWs that have a midi drum editor allow rename, otherwise it wouldn't make sense.
For Vi users, with all...
