PC/MAC Compatibility

I did a "Save Session Copy As" and checked marked PC/MAC Compatibility. After the session saved I burned it onto DVD and gave it to a friend to use on his MAC. However, whenever he puts the DVD into...

Re: Mastering Question

Well if you can ReWire Acid that's the best option. You'll have more tracks that way and you can pick and choose which tracks you want in PT and which should stay in Acid. PT may have some plug-ins...

Re: DFH Superior in PT successfully? anyone?

Well you have to understand what the program is actually trying to do. The whole problem is recreating the mic bleeding. For instance, when you have a snare sound on the snare mic with no bleeding,...

Re: DFH Superior in PT successfully? anyone?

Well unless you've got a really good pc setup, you'll have trouble trying to maximize what DFH can offer. I'm able to run it no problem, although I don't use ALL the mic bleedings either. That will...

Re: Problems using Reason Adapted

Sometimes I've had to click on the ReDrum track in the REason Adapted sequencer in order to trigger it via midi. When you click on it, you'll notice a midi plug icon on that track, and it should...

Re: Problems using Reason Adapted

Well you should have more than just "Mix L". You should have "Mix L & R". It should be a stereo pair coming from Reason Adapted to PT via ReWire. But if might be something in Reason Adapted not...

Re: Reason and Wave Lab Plugins

You say you had Reason Adapted? Or are you trying to use 2.5? I'm unclear on that.

As for Wavelab, those plug-ins are VST plug-ins and won't show in PT unless you have the VST-RTAS adapter,...

Re: Missing Regions Please help.

If you can remember precisely the date and time they were deleted, then you can browse to your session folder via windows explorer and see when the last backup was made. If the last backup was made...

Re: Reference Mixing - How do you do?

You should never mix in headphones. There's no way you can get an accurate mix in headphones. At least I've never heard anyone else doing that, nor have I had any success doind that myself. It...

Re: Creating space among multiple soft-synth track

Yeah I know I'm on the wrong forum too but I've had the same problem with Reason as well. I haven't really tackled getting in there and trying to create space within the sounds, but one thing I know...

Re: Recording with/without Compression and Eq Digi

If all you wanted was to add eq, you can insert an EQ plug-in on the audio track you're recording on and it won't record the EQ. You'd have to set up a bus to actually record compression, eq, etc.

Re: Reference Mixing - How do you do?

One thing I've noticed mixing with decent studio monitors is that I tend to add to much bass. And when I listen to the cd in my car there's more bass than I thought. I think it comes down to...

Re: Printing plugin compression + audio: delay????

Doing it that way you'll possibly run into phasing problems because of the compression plug-in. Some have latency, and some don't. So if you are SURE you want compression during the tracking...

Re: PT 6.4.1 & Reason MIDI latency

What's your h/w buffer size set at? You have to realize that a soft-synth coming into PT via an Aux track is the same as recording a vocal via an Audio track. There's going to be latency. If you...

Re: Headphone Mix...how to?

Are you wanting the band members to only hear themselves, or to hear everything but be able to adjust the mix to each band members liking?

MIDI Polyphony

Is there a know issue with PT MIDI Polyphony? It seems like every time I'm playing chords, or some keyboard part that is more 2 or 3 keys at the same time, it locks up. Is there a fix for this? Or...

Re: How hot to record for optimum sound quality?

I'm not at the studio right now, but we have a PreSonus DigiMax 96. I don't remember it having a VU meter.

Re: How hot to record for optimum sound quality?

Does anyone have any screenshots for reference? I'm confused on how the individual tracks should be reading in the mixer view. As for keeping the levels around -18db, does that include Auxs used...
