Great info in your reply. Changing the NIC to WIFI would be a good place to start. Even if its' set to WIFI, Eucon SHOULD still see a direct connected Artist Control along with the app....

Biggest clue I read from this is

"Removed the Artist Control completely, but w/o it, Eucontrol won't boot at all."

This to me means that the Eucon NIC is set to whatever port the control got...

I am on OS X 10.9.5 with Eucontrol 3.3 with mix. I have MackieControl working with Ableton live. Still working after upgrading to Eucontrol 3.3.1 as well.

Agreed. The Eucon W/S installer info is a bit hard to find. The S5mc/Mcpro manual has a breakdown of this installer a bit more in depth than the artist stuff. A workstation hooked up to an S5MC...

It does look like there is an issue with drag and drop into the preference window. A workaround for this is installing 3.2.1 or earlier and then dragging ableton over. Don't delete your Eucontrol...
