Long story short - My 2015 MacBook Pro won't record one track for more than 2 mins without crashing. No effects.

I am using a digi002 rack w protools 12. Everything seems to be working.

BUT, when I plug in my lightpipe and then try to change to the external clock, I can't get to the hardware setup....

Problem - Drummer slowed down for about 2 measures, then got back to speed. Wasn't noticeable until I started laying the other tracks.
