I've now update my Mac Pro to Mavericks and can happily report the same, that after re-installing the Mbox2 drivers, everything is working perfectly fine.:-)
Hope everyone else has the same...

Continuing from my post earlier, I've tested my Mavericks installed Macbook pro with the Mbox 2, and no problems whatsoever! Playback is fine and smooth, no plugin errors. Pro Tools LE 8.0.5 records...

I've upgraded my 2008 macbook pro to mavericks, was told after upgrade that pro tools was incompatible (I'm running LE 8.0.5). Checked the "incompatible software" and found the digidesign midi plugin...
