More specifically, just the two interfaces from 1998 and 2001 that were tied to DAE which is not part of Pro Tools 11. I don't know any original purchasers who still use these control surfaces.

The fact that the C24 physically looks similar and uses an Ethernet connection doesn't mean it hooks into Pro Tools in exactly the same manner. That's quite a leap.

I think they did take that lesson from Harrison by introducing the Icon which makes that level of ongoing support financially feasible. Pro Control was priced a heck of a lot lower than a Harrison!

Of course there is a driver or it wouldn't work with PT 10 on a 64 bit OS!

The issue is the profile and whatever code that profile might talk to in PT 11's code. That could be a lot more...

I'm sure it would be easy to write a driver that makes the Pro Control work exactly like a HUI. I just suspect there's code contributing to its superior performance baked into old Pro Tools versions...

I have little doubt this was probably the very assumption that brought Avid down financially. Both they and we are now being forced to rethink everything. At least they created a bridge in PT 10....
