Re: Miroslav Philharmonik... Now what?

yes it is if you use a touch controller.

because where midi automation is one way > in and you have to assign each parameter, host automation works both ways.

so as soon as you touch a control...

Re: Miroslav Philharmonik... Now what?

Re: Miroslav Philharmonik... Now what?

Simple real example, strings only.

1st violins 8 articulations = 8 separate tracks
2nd violins 8 + 8 tracks
Violas 8 + 8 tracks
Cellos 8 + 8 tracks

= 32 separate tracks for only 4 instruments

Re: Miroslav Philharmonik... Now what?

No, I'm talking about the fact that there is no host automation apart from the 8 macros.

No parameters get reported to the host apart from the hard coded macros.

Re: Miroslav Philharmonik... Now what?

You are talking about midi automation, not host automation.

Totally different things.

Re: Miroslav Philharmonik... Now what?

I asked many many times before and after release.

But sampletank 3 doesn't even support host automation ( only the hard coded 8 macros ) so I don't hold out much hope.

Re: Miroslav Philharmonik... Now what?

They cannot be customised, they are hard coded. What's the use of that.

Re: Miroslav Philharmonik... Now what?

Because where as you need 16 tracks for 16 articulations a KS instrument only needs 1.

its quite simply really, isn't it ?

Re: Miroslav Philharmonik... Now what?

well that is down to favouring multiple articulations spread across multiple messy tracks, stealing screen space, let alone the fact of programming each part separately.

Personally i'd go for a...

Re: Miroslav Philharmonik... Now what?

Philharmonik was a nice library for getting ideas together... the problem is IK multimedia.

The original 32-bit player never had keyswitch so what seems like 10 years later we finally get...

Re: Piano-roll: change label/name on keys

That's exactly why I only mix audio in pro tools.

Ableton live is years ahead as far as working with articlations is concerned. You can use drum racks like drum maps, have all your articlations...

Re: Pro Tools 11 activation code

I guess because you have not posted in the thread for 2 weeks and have not replied to pm's, even to refuse offers is the reason people are looking elsewhere.

Re: Pro Tools 11 activation code

I've noticed it's really hard to get replies in the marketplace here. You may be better off picking up a cheap interface with LE and upgrading.

That's what I have done $399 or less.

Re: Pro Tools 10 Demo? Is it still available?

Avid really shoud of kept the 10 Demo until 11 is fully compatable.

I have purchased 11 but will use 10, it would be nice to use the demo while I wait for my crossgrade to arrive.

Yes, I thought as much. Looks like I will be better off buying used here on the forum (waiting for replies)

I'd rather not sacrifice the MP9 license to be honest.
