Re: Ring Modulator kind of sound/semi crash

Still doing it. Fully new system latest protools build. So basically that means only HDX card and interfaces the same. I gave up on chasing it. Resetting buffer every now and then.

Re: Ring Modulator kind of sound/semi crash

This system was built for me, not sure about the power supply. Though I remember the guy saying that it was a power supply bigger than necessary.

(Please see my post regarding the ring modulation noise/semi crash as well).

Also, probably once per day the whole Protools experience slows down to molasses behavior. Sound is unaffected I...

Ring Modulator kind of sound/semi crash

I'm on PT HD 10.3.10, HDX, a 16x16 Avid HD IO and a 192 16in 8out, OSX 10.9.5 (on a Hackentosh).

Everyday about 5-10 times I'm working in a session and all of a sudden, the WHOLE session starts...

Re: C24 talkback possibly died.

Thanks for the input, I actually use that same technique since 1998 on sessions with or without protools. The C24 actually makes it mostly unneccessary because of the awesome auto talkback that...

C24 talkback possibly died.

Hi,
I think my talkback circuit has died.
I normally come out of the patch point 5 on the db25 in the back to patch the talkback into a hear back system, but today I don't get any signal. I checked...

Re: 10.3.3/Lion/2009 8 core. Experience is sluggish

Hmm. well.
The whole idea of the HDX card is that I shouldn't have to think about the number of tracks. Most of my channel strips are in DSP. The CPU usage meter is at 28% or so, so nowhere close...

C24 plug in maps sluggish

Hi there,
so everytime I open a plug in from the board and my custom maps are used, the parameters kind of "roll out" on the C24 so slow, I can see them appear 8 by 8 by 8 parameters. This gets very...

10.3.3/Lion/2009 8 core. Experience is sluggish

Hi there,
I went through all versions of ProTools 10, 10.1, 10.2, 10.3 etc. Am now at 10.3.3
Everything works and plays. Big sessions (200 voices, 150 plugins, mixed rtas, aax and aax dsp). But...

Computer sluggish

Last time for today
10.2 HDX 10.7.2

I know everybody says that PT10 is quicker and more responsive, and it's true most of the time, but pretty often I have this little lag in changing tools, or...

Tracks stop playback

Another one
10.2 HDX

In the middle of a mix session, all of a sudden you think, hmm, why is this sounding different?

Bass stopped playing just like that. I can see the meter moving, but it...

AAX Delay Plug In Sync not saving correctly

Hi there,
10.2 HDX

The AAX DSP Delay Avid stock plug ins do NOT save the musical value (quarter, eigth etc) in the sync section between saving sessions.

This is repeatable, everytime.

Re: VU master C | 24 left work with PT 10.2

If by "crashed" you mean it doesn't work anymore, make sure that in the IO setup the controller Meter Path is set to your outputs and not NONE.

Re: OK.. i give up.. can someone from AVID please contact me re installers

Holy moly.
I've been using MACs for about 12 years now and consider myself pretty damn crafty on them. And that's the first time I heard about this "show package contents" thingy.
and there they...

Re: Pro Tools 10 doesn't seem to like running at lower buffer sizes anymore

Same here, I used to be at 128 on a TDM rig, now I have to be at 256, and 512 for 96k or I'll get random errors, and sometimes delay compensation problems.
Used to use a quad core 2006 Intel Mac...

Re: HD IO and ProTools meters are misleading

Thanks for that.
Yes, somehow the HD hardware meters are now going in the red here too, but the software meters are not.

This is not good, need fix, please.

Thank you for confirming!

Re: HD IO and ProTools meters are misleading

It's HDX, 2009 MacPro 8core, PT 10.1.0 (seems most stable to me at this moment), MacOSX 10.7.2, HD IO 8x8x8

Thanks for checking.
