Maybe a comment from someone in authority at Avid that addresses this issue with more than a "WE killed that product and told you we would" might calm some of the frayed nerves on this 50+ page...

As am I. If there's a Control 24 solution that allows it to function with PT 11 (and onward to PT12)...then I pay my $599 to upgrade and my faith in Avid is restored as it will show that they LISTEN...

1) Why you are not providing the drivers for Control 24 and Pro Control (and NOT that its because its an EOL product....what is the technical reason for being unable...

I agree it is not true for digital when you are talking about bit rates, sample rates, word clock, sync, etc.

So I have a suggestion....one of the engineers at Avid could probably write a set of drivers for the Control 24 and PT11. Take a poll of existing Control 24 owners and see how many would be willing...

A Trial of PT 11 would be a blessing...how would that work logistically? Purchase for $599, download and test and if it doesn't work I submit for a refund?

If it doesn't work...I'm stuck with PT 10 + CPTK 2 then...NO WAY I am spending the £4k to buy a C24 when my Control 24 works perfectly...still wish they would have at least asked someone beta testing...

1) Why wouldn't Avid at least TRY to see if the Control 24 works so you can at least let us know?
2) Which Driver for the Control 24 will I want to use? The latest one...
