Re: Space Activation is required

Launch your iLok License Manager app, click "All Licenses", and search for "space". Mine is showing a few versions and believe it's now part of the "Avid Complete Plug-In Bundle". Maybe you can...

Re: Download error (Communication error)

I'd recommend trying to get the installer directly from Avid.com.

Log in (or register and log in), and you may be able to click on "Products Not Yet Downloaded" and find the installers you...

Re: Pan do not work

Is anything playing in stereo?
Maybe check your headphones, cable, plug / adaptor? If you're listening on speakers check that your power amp was not accidentally switched to bridge mode?

Do...

Re: Why do I hear both, guitar sim plugin and clean above it?

So you are using Neural as an inserted plugin on the guitar channel in PT, yeah? And you're still hearing the direct clean sound when you play, but not when you playback what you've recorded?

Re: Smaller increments?

It now seems to be Command-mouse to get the 0.1db moves on the fader.

Re: Pro Tools 2020.5/2020.3 Compatibility with Catalina 10.15.4?

2020.5 and OS 10.15.5 is working for me but I ask very little of it. Had heavy fan activity on my MBPro when first using 2020.5 so I checked Activity Monitor and found Avid's Video Engine eating up...

Re: How can I speed up play back on a Mac?

"QuickTime Player" can play audio at double (or even 5x) speed if that would work. I'd also recommend Roni Music's "Amazing Slow Downer" which is handy for changing speed and/or pitch.

Re: Toggle between PT and SD3 (or DS Thorn) screen

Just like "Command-tab" cycles through your running applications, "Command~" (tilde) is supposed to step through all open windows within a program. Add the shift key to cycle through in the reverse...

Re: Phased Input Monitoring

Check to be sure the "direct monitor" button on your Scarlett hasn't accidentally been pressed. If you can hear your input signal before arming the track in PT, you are somehow monitoring the input...

Re: Step by step installing HD Native Driver on Mojave?

I think this is what you're looking for. It's for High Sierra but I believe the same steps apply for Mojave and Catalina. The trick may be to NOT hit restart until you've ok'd the installation in...

Re: Still can't get Low Latency Monitoring With My HD Native Omni!

Yes, it works for me. LLM is not available from the TB box headphone jack but that's because (I assume) it's a "hard wire" path from input to monitor out within the Omni.

I don't know enough to...

Re: Still can't get Low Latency Monitoring With My HD Native Omni!

I use an Omni via HDN and Thunderbolt. In my experience, when choosing LLM from the "Options" menu (which I need to re-do every time I relaunch PT), I hear a slight "click" from the Omni. I assume...

Re: Editing Overall Tempo For A Session With Tempo Changes

Are you talking about a piece which has a tempo map made by beat detective or something? Because this Event> Tempo incremental % based adjustment seems to make the most sense if you simply want to...

Re: dumb click question

Well, I'm pretty sure you want your click to "follow meter" (I don't know what that option is used for) but changing the click in the Meter Change window to 1/8th notes should do it. That's a lot of...

Re: What are they talking about?

Yeah, I can't decode that either. But I will mention that Low Latency Monitoring with that setup is only available from the Omni output, not from the headphone jack on the TB box. LLM happens...

Re: Protools 2019.10 installation fail MacOS 10.13.6

Try looking at your System Prefs >> Security & Privacy to see if you need to give permission for the file to be downloaded from an "unknown source" (not the iTunes App store). It may also be asking...

Re: How can I change the Click Track Accent to the 3rd Beat of 4/4?

Record it with the accent on 1 and slide the audio over (in grid mode) 2 beats?

Edit: beat me to it (see what I did there?)

Re: iMac fans starting to get hot and very noisy again!

Might be a silly question but do you have "continuous" scrolling selected, where the play head stays stationary and all the waveforms scroll by? I think the heaviest graphical lifting PT does is...

Re: Fans Going Wild .. ver 19.5.0.322 on macbook pro 2014

Re: Signal Lost intermittently while In Record.

Actually, the "spike" happens when the signal comes back (your pics are upside-down).

Pardon me for being obvious but check all of your multi-pin connections to be sure nothing has come loose,...

What I mean is, why not use the key in the upper right corner of your keyboard marked "Delete"?

As to your actual question... If you are choosing "restart" while ProTools is running or after a...
