Couple of things to check:
1-interface connection. If its USB, make sure the Power Management is turned off for all USB ports(or USB Root hub) in Device Manager.
2-What drive are you recording to?...

Re: Minimizing elastic audio artifacts

Interesting as(for me) X-Form has always had the least artifacts. Serato Pitch 'n Time Pro is probably the best tool for this and they might offer a free demo that could solve your problem this time...

Re: Command|8 - I like it!

No, the fader caps must be metallic(silver) as they need to conduct to pick up the capacitance of your skin. Look at caps from Behringer(X series), Midas(M series), Digidesign(Pro Control, Control...

Re: ProTools Intro

It should be as simple as what Marianna described(and it was for me many months ago when I loaded it onto an older PC). It should also be fine for the purpose you have, though there are a few other...

Are you running Eucon? I think there is a setting in Eucon for this.

Re: Disk Cache problems

More details might help;
1-You say you have new drives, was it working fine before the new drives?
2-How exactly are the new drives formatted and partitioned?
3-What are these new drives(SSD,...

Re: Any MIDI keyboard / Controller for AAX Instruments?

Agreed^^^ Most every instrument plugin I have has midi learn available and I have programmed lots to the knobs on an Akai Advance 61 keyboard controller:o

Re: Bug: Pro Tools 2024.3 random meters appearing in sends

I suspect its a graphics issue from using a relatively old computer with the newest PT. Maybe look at your graphics card and see if there is an update for it?

Re: Procedure for Maintaining Phase-Coherence - Multi-Mic (Drum Kit) - Elastic Audio

Let your ears be your guide. Phase between tracks on a fully mic'd drum kit is a constantly moving target with any process that stretches audio. This is why Beat Detective is often the better option...

Re: Questions about Freeze Tracking

Hmmm, I never tried, but as I would expect each track to commit in succession, it seems it might not save much time anyway:o

Re: Question re connections

Probably I would use the ADAT connection, but I also question the need for hardware inserts(IOW, have you really thought it thru?):o Here's my reasoning (which I'm sure many will disagree with): In...

Re: 192's with HD IO's

I would also look at the loop sync cables. I ran 2x HD IO boxes and 2x 192 boxes for several years without a single issue.

Re: Latest Protools crashing on idle

Hmmm, 2 things here:
1-the "new user" bit I think may only apply to Mac users
2-Run as Admin was something we needed to do when we were running Windows 7. With Win10/11, this is no longer the case...

Re: Reinstalled and now have ProTools First NOT ProTools Studio

Hmmm, a couple of observations:
1-yes, iLok seems to get re-installed every time you install Pro Tools(not sure why, but its never been an issue here)
2-Maybe you have a cloud session(iLok cloud)...

Re: Latest Protools crashing on idle

Re: Why uses the demo session - not sure it's worth downloading them in every install

I used one many years ago as a quick test of a fresh load on a computer without any other sessions. Otherwise, it seems the same waste as all the stock session templates:o

I'd also suggest Reaper. Its free to try, cheap to buy and it seems many stay running it as a demo for way too long:o

Re: 2024.3 Melodyne blobs dissapearing

For me, it turns out that either the Melodyne window scrolls up/down so the blobs are not seen(scrolling allows me to find them again) or the Melodyne timeline doesn't follow the PT timeline, so...
