well i thought i had it beat

i went ahead and bought an accel card and bought LM HD and bought an internal drive and got LM RTAS out of the way and thought i was ready to move on

instead LM HD...

am going tomorrow to upgrade to hd2 to run liquid mix hd and now have...

first off, yes, i am currently running os x off the digi approved combo update... at this point i'm eating digi approved meals and passing digi approved waste and cursing only digi approved...

hi - i'm back

so i eventually brought my mac in to techserve - they said i did not have any hardware issues - they suggested i do the following (which i did)

- buy and install a siig firewire...

ok - another 8 hours today working on this...

when i installed the early version of liquidmix i lost all my saved settings and realized that there was a major latency issue with the early version...

ok

ran a hardware test w/ the new ram in - no problems

uninstalled liquid mix - followed focusrite directions but went a step further and did a search for all liquidmix files and sinteflex...

i think that i can safely say that this is either a liquid mix or firewire bus issue... but i'm at a loss of how to figure that out

was up 'til 6am working on this and when i woke up finally today...

so after cleaning up my drives - reformatting the lacie for storage purposes only and reformatting and splitting the glyph to 10 50 gig-ish partitions i brought one session into one of the partitions...

well, lo and behold, i just went back down to the studio to transfer the files from the glyph to the lacie and the lacie crashed pt and hung up my entire os - just like old times ... guess i'm back...
