Agreed.

However, you can still kind of use it this way too.

In your example, in the edit window, highlight the clip and then change your grid settings to Measures. Then go Edit-Separate Clip-On...

I have done this using the Trimmer TCE Tool. For example, consolidate your notes into one clip in the edit window. Then go to the clip and stretch it exactly the amount you want them to be spaced by....
