Pro Tools 10 is you friend! I tried other methods and failed.

I boot an old hard drive and run it from there. You'll need a compatible system and PT10 in your iLok.

I've been with Pro Tools native for yearly 20 years. I've never had an issue with latency for recording, especially as native power has come on leaps and bounds and buffer sizes can drop accordingly....

I'm still on V6 so no Mellotron here yet. However, have you tried a higher buffer setting? Also, a new Session with just the Mellotron and the associated MIDI data?

Granted, they might not bundle up any products but then again they might. If they do, bundles are usually the most cost effective way to buy products. I'm not in a rush....
