Re: reducing CPU load

And just to be clear, deleting the Database stopped being a thing in Pro Tools 11 and later. But either way the popular utilities know what the correct things to do for different Pro Tools versions.

Hi Jason

The problem was not really that I think you were whining per-se (and it does not matter what I think anyhow).. or that I think there is not stuff to complain about.... but I wanted to get...

Re: New Samsung EVO 860 question

Magician does not run on Macs.

HFS+ is floating out to sea on it’s burning funeral barge. Many Pro Tools Mac users, especially those working on their boot SSD drives are on APFS (often without...

Re: PT 2018 Native Latency

It's Pro Tools, needing at times to be a "Mr. Tech support" comes with the product. And does as well with other DAWs, maybe not as much but it does.

Cache size set to "normal" means the Pro Tools...

It might be more helpful if you...

Re: I'm Buying HDX - will I be ok?

Re: PTHDN does not recognize 2nd Omni interface

Yep, it’s frustrated lots of people. I suspect it’s more just not worth Avid’s time doing the engineeering vs. a more malicious deliberate reason to force people to buy a HD IO or MTRX.

Re: PTHDN does not recognize 2nd Omni interface

Pro Tools only supports one Omni interface. Been that way forever and is well documented/discussed in the past on DUC.

There are whole families of network switches designed...

Re: Official Mojave support in 2019?

I have replied to your other thread. You would likely make much more progress if you focused on what is going on with your system rather than assuming it’s because Mojave is not officially supported....
