The original question was, as I understand it: If you get an Avid AAF or OMF pointing to 48000 files shot against film speed, how do you get that into a session running at 48000, 29.97 with no pulls....

On many Sony decks, always check if it's reading VITC on field 1 or field 2. The wrong setting can cause VITC out one frame late.

Add to that list variables due to the connection type you are using. In most LCD monitoring I've used, component is less delay than composite or S-Video.
