Restart PT

audio from video wrong length

Hi,

About every time I import a video and its audio content in PT, the resulting audio track is longer than the video, by several frames. This looks like absolutely non-professional while your...

Re: S6 modifier keys not functional after 2.0 update

Thanks for your reply Eddie;

I could investigate a bit since. Other strange things were happening on the S6 (faders down, solo mode not respected sometimes ...) ;
"simply" disconnecting and...

Title says it all. S6 is connected to a Mac pro under Mavericks

Re: audio click bug/issue on renaming

Well, sure, but the Feedback Community looks much more like a suggestion forum. This is a bug, which I encounter difficulties to reproduce, but which happens from time to time, and is very annoying...

audio click bug/issue on renaming

Hello,

PT sometimes generates a short "click" (near full scale) at the beginning of audio files while renaming them.
Renaming has been done, in this case, by manually (or using Applescript or...

Re: Writing Multi-channel Interleaved files

Thanks for sharing that !
Now I'm wondering :

1) While Soundgrinder shows your file is not as you'd have expected, would it allows you to manipulate it and deliver it as your client expects, or...

Re: Quantize to Grid doesn't work when set to Clip/Markers

Just discovering this topic : You could write a quite simple AppleScript or Quickeys script to achieve that. If you can do it with keystrokes only on one clip (and select the next one) You'd just...

Re: Consolidate clips hangs trying to render

Same here with several mac minis (late 2012) involved. We looked at the ram saturation problem mac minis have, tried to install purge utilities, with no real success. Pro Tools and mac os x are up...

stretch to match a specific length ?

Is there a way, using the TC/E tool, to stretch a region to match exactly another region length (or a video clip length) ?
AFAIK, there's nothing like a "magnetic" snap mode to stop the trim tool at...

Re: Is the Avid IO fan quieter than the 192 fan?

I received my HD I/O recently, and, still having the 192 underneath, I can tell the HD I/O is very much quieter. Now I can hear my Furman HD6 headphones amp power supply again, and I hate it, but...

Re: Upgrade confusion - now can't download without iLok key?

I second that. Though I heard they eventually had huge piracy problems with the original iLok model (seems to be the reason why they made a new one), I find the iLok system very much reliable as a...

Re: Adapter cards by PCI-X PCI-e! Does it work?

I emailed virtuavia today (as they didn't answer to phone calls) , asking them if any of their gear could handle 3 Pro Tools PCI cards. I was thinking the ATX 500w tower would be good enough.
They...

Re: Pro Tools 9 is a SHAME for HD users!!!!!

Come on. You know what he means ... Somehow we were forced to put (a lot of) money in HD systems to keep us up to date, and now, you can get quite the same functiunalities for a fraction of the cost....

Re: Is Command8 definitely compatible with PT HD 9 (native) ?

Is Command8 definitely compatible with PT HD 9 (native) ?

Command8 wasn't listed at first as a compatible control surface,
now it is in the supported hardware list.

May we have a clear answer from Digi ? Has anyone tried it with PT9 ?

Thanks

Re: How to snap several regions to a sync point (PT 6.9.3)

Well, thanks, I was hoping there was a better way already under 6.9.
Apparently not.
Sometimes I'm amazed PT became a standard (way before 7.3.) despite,
a significative number of such grips.
