Brand /Console independent digital snake

Not sure if this is a good place to post this as it isn't Avid specific.

One thing I have been thinking about to get around the 16 input fader limit on an SC48 (17 if I include the flex channel).

What if I assign each of the VCA outputs to a single input. I can then...

EQing Vocals - Venue EQ or Plug-in EQ

Hi,
I have always used the standard 4 band EQ (plus HPF) on an SC48. I have the plugins that came with the console a few years ago which have a couple of EQs.
Just wondering if these are better...

Re: Managing Signal Level through SC48/System Controller/Amps

Thanks Guys.

I am using RMS ballistics for metering
My "Input Clip Margin Below Max" & "Output Clip Margin Below Max" are both set to 6dB. Does this mean the Venue indicates clipping 6dB before...

Re: Managing Signal Level through SC48/System Controller/Amps

OK - so I have now got this all set pretty good.

I actually used the gains on the matrix mixers to reduce the output levels and have now got really solid signal levels on the channel metres. And...

Re: Managing Signal Level through SC48/System Controller/Amps

So the Stereo mix is fed into a number of matrices.
Two for LR - these are fed into the processor. The processor has four outputs. Each array has five units and we split top three and bottom two...

Virtual Soundcheck on SC48 and Snapshots

Hi,
I am starting to look into Virtual Soundcheck using SC48 and PT9.
I believe the way to move between PT for VSc and Live stage inputs is to use a couple of snapshots.
I understand the patching...
