Just purchased an iMac Core 2 Duo 20" with the 2.16 GHz, followed Digi's instructions for optimization and plugged my Digi 002R in. Haven't had any issues at all. Runs far better than my old Athlon...

I have two of the 80G WD Drives ATA100 (8MB) one for apps and the other for data. So far they have been incredibly reliable and fast. I have yet to get an interruption.

If I were you,I would try and pick up the regular Digimax with limiting and eq. I find the limiting very useful, not to mention, surprisingly musical for tracking drums and anything else...
