Thanks for the help again Darryl.

I had followed all the optimization procedures already but interestingly I l've only just tried creating a new user and lo and behold the plugins work just fine....

I have tried a clean uninstall and install as directed but I'm still having the same issue.

Hi. I removed all the plug-ins by placing them in the unused folder. It didn't help. And all my plug-ins are the ones that came with PT8.
I did try a new admin account but that didn't work either. ...

Thanks for your help. Have found them all in the plug-ins folder but they don't appear within Pro-Tools. As you say they must need updating. Thanks again, I should have thought of that.

Annoying crackling sound coming from somewhere . What is it!

What\'s the best way to back-up onto DVD?

I want to make hard copy back-ups of Pro-Tools sessions which are bootable
from the disc in case I get my laptop stolen or it breaks..etc. Is it best make a disc image first then use disk utility....

Thank you so much. Old projects now load with the troublesome plug-ins inactive. I will try a clean install of them which I'm sure will work.

Please help me. I'm using M-box with Pro-tools LE 6.2.2 and it keeps "quitting unexpectedly" when I try and launch certain plug-ins (ie PS-01 series, B4 ..etc) These have all worked fine in the past...
