You should take the subscription and use the coupon. This deal makes it totally worth it. Plus you get to try out the other consoles that are also really great. Mix and Master is a great bundle.

I love my dock and find new uses for it every day.

You can control any plugin with it, including instruments. Getting used to where the parameters are in the pages takes some getting used to but...

The four tracks you want totally controlled should be assigned to the VCA. Then group the other tracks in a group with the VCA not following globals and only select mutes.

I can't be sure what isn't right but I can share pictures of my dB25 connections. The grey wires are the midi cables. They are male connectors as well.

Things to check:

Are you seeing your interface in Audio Midi Setup (MAC)?

Is the midi interface showing up in xmon software and are you assigned? (Right click the xmon icon in the Finder Dock)...

Like Eddie said, you won’t be able to use some of the PT functions but the monitor controller works well.

Download the Avid Control app on your phone or tablet. The tablet app controls the computer app. The computer app controls the xmon.

I have not updated to Melodyne 5 so that isn’t it.

Also I started up with no 3rd party plugs and still saw the bug. It’s not plugin related.

It does not seem to be ilok related. I signed out of all ilok cloud sessions and still had the issue. I'm going to see if one of my plugins is phoning home too or something.

I don’t see why not. You might want to use cat5 cable and two of the barrier strip connectors I linked to. That might help with the dangers of a cable that long.

It’s a touch interface. There’s no way or reason to run it on a laptop.
