Re: "..wav" -bug

You're comparing apples with oranges. What you play in your session has nothing to do with what's inside your audio files folder.

You can play a single leg of an interleaved file in the same way.

Re: "..wav" -bug

What I meant was that I use PT with the "interleaved" option turned on so everything created in PT is interleaved not split mono.
My audio-files folder doesn't contain any .L .R .C etc. files. They...

Re: Nothing but "Undo Change Control Value" in undo queue

You're welcome.

F.

P.S: Sorry for not reading your mind regarding the "read mode" earlier.

P.P.S: haha.

Re: Nothing but "Undo Change Control Value" in undo queue

It's actually a feature not a bug. When you have the denoiser set to auto instead of manual it will auto-set parameters all the time depending on your signal, essentially writing automation. If you...

Re: QT Video Playback Delay, Seriously?

One thing I've found with ffmpeg and DNxHD is that QTs transcoded with ffmpeg can behave weird in other applications. I'm not sure why. Maybe because they don't use the official DNxHD codec engine....

Re: Seriously guys, figure out the Video Engine problem.

Use the DNXHD36 codec. It's about 4-5GB per 20-Minute reel so about 30GB per regular film depending on the length.

135GB sounds like you're using the DNXHD115 codec which is overkill for...

Re: Field Recorder Workflow problem

You need to work in referenced mode for this workflow. And you need to use non-embedded AAFs just as a side note. Otherwise as you noticed the creation date will constantly change. Embedded AAFs...

Re: Field Recorder Workflow problem

EdiLoad works with the info that comes across from the *picture*-EDL and then created dummy audio clips that contain the metadata from the picture EDL. You can manipulate that before the session is...

Re: Field Recorder Workflow problem

You need to look at the clip name info in the NLE too. Those could be scene/take names that only live inside the NLE and not the files themselves. They will show up in an EDL hence my suggestion to...

Re: Field Recorder Workflow problem

Your analysis of the problem is correct:

They edited with the camera-audio so the only data that relates to the original BWAVs is the TC (which will have duplicated al most on every day of the...

Re: Snap Audio Region(s) to source timecode?

It's been a feature request for years. It's not possible.

You can use an optical cable and plug your mac out into your PT interface and route that back through an aux. F.

Hi,

is there a way to get Eucon to recognize virtual VLAN interfaces under OS X? At the moment Eucon will only recognize physical en ports on the machine I think but is there a way to get Eucon to...

Re: Correct Config for 2 Workstations?

I don't think the artists have multiple DAW support. You can connect multiple controllers to one DAW or multiple controllers to separate DAWs on the same network but you can not connect the same...

Re: 12.5.1 and Delay Comp - possible AVE issue

I've never seen PT auto-adjust video-offset sync on a Video satellite depending on the ADC.

Unless this is a new feature of PT12 of course. Especially with Sonnox Suppressor in hires mode and...

Re: "..wav" -bug

Hm, not sure. In A better finder renamer you can do a find '..' and replace by '.' and include the extensions. Not sure how to do that in automator.

The files should relink by ID regardless the...

Re: "..wav" -bug

Batch-rename (better finder renamer or other tool) the audio files in the finder so that the double '..' are gone and then relink your session using file ID only. (backup the files before the rename...

Re: BUG: Match alternates out of Sync to AAF

Hi,

the issue has been fixed on the AVID MC side of the pond. There is a fairly new option in the MC's audio prefs called "subframe alignment to broadcast wave start time".

It's in the audio...

Re: WHY can't you do fader flip on MC?

Would be difficult to implement in a logical and...

you can replace them (well with the type ones but functioning obviously). My colleague had the same issue. Turn to the right and pan goes left and vice versa. It's usually wear and dirt. He...
