Re: No Waves AAX Native yet?

Waves released VST 64 over a year later than they originally announced. AAX 64 for Waves is beginning to smell like deja vu all over again.

Audiosuite Dither

The Audiosuite Dither options used to be at Preferences>Processing, but they seem to have disappeared in PT11. Where are they?

Avid Virtual Instruments for PT11

After I installed PT11 I tested it with several projects that used the AIR Virtual Instruments. However I haven't gotten around to installing the PT11 version of these. Somewhat to my surprise...

Re: Maxim-inconsistent behavior?

There doesn't seem to be a way to attach a graphic to post.

I've been able to push Maxim over the limit from other tracks in a lot of other mixes, so I've been assuming that Maxim is a soft...

Re: Maxim-inconsistent behavior?

The master fader is set to 0 db but since inserts on the master fader are post-fader it shouldn't make any difference.

Maxim-inconsistent behavior?

If I set the ceiling to, say, -1 db, I can pull the threshold down all the way without punching through the -1 db limit. OTOH I can push up a fader on a track that is input to the limiter and break...

Re: Delay Compensation

Thanks. I see what you mean about Ozone, a delay of 1300 samples.

Re: Delay Compensation

I guess I must be missing something basic. I tried it on a aux track with the same results. Besides, delay is delay. Why would it be different on an audio track than on an aux track?

Re: Available Memory?

For OS X that was true prior to 10.6. Are you saying that Win 7 doesn't reserve 2GB per instance for its use like XP did?

Available Memory?

Just want to verify my understanding about the available memory for a PT9 session. Since PT9 is still a 32-bit application, it still runs in a 4GB address space, even on Win 7 and OS X 10.6. Is...

Delay Compensation

I must be making some basic mistake on applying delay compensation. I have short delay enabled, and the system delay shows as 1024 samples. To test delay compensation, I inserted 5 AIR plugins...

What does Win 7 64-bit support mean?

I'm building a new Win 7 dual-boot partition, so I did an 8.0.3 install of M-Powered and then applied the 8.0.4 upgrade. The upgrade did not give me an option of 32-bit or 64-bit (unlike Cubase) and...

PT 8.0.4 and IE8

Did this release fix the compatibility problem between PT and IE8? This problem has been outstanding for almost a year now.

Re: IE 8 Install Breaks M-Powered?

So after 6 months the sticky post is still there. I guess that means that nothing has been fixed?

Re: IE 8 Install Breaks M-Powered?

Anybody have any updates with this. I filed a support request with iLok, but got the usual Tech Support BS, so I decided to just wait.

Re: M-Audio Firewire Series Input Levels

M-Audio Tech Support finally came back and said:

Now, not all unbalanced inputs are -10, but apparently that's the answer for the Firewire 410.

Re: IE 8 Install Breaks M-Powered?

Rolling back to the prior restore point basically uninstalled IE8. IMO restore points are one of the best features in Windows. They've saved my neck a number of times.

I posted a similar...

M-Audio Firewire Series Input Levels

What are the line input levels for the M-Audio Firewire series? I've heard that they are consumer (-10 dbv) and that a pro line level input (+4 dbv) is too hot.

The documentation is silent on...
