DVS doesn’t currently work the the ethernet ports on 7.1 Mac Pros. You have to use a USB to Ethernet adapter. Perhaps the same applies to Via?

I once had an issue with a 19” rack effect in the loop, send/return of a guitar amp that howled like a banshee. It turned out to be an earthing/ground issue between the amp and effects unit.
